Insurance Coverage for Paint Protection Film (PPF)

Did you know? If your vehicle is damaged in an accident or incident covered by your auto insurance, your policy may also cover the cost of reapplying Paint Protection Film (PPF).

Here's what you need to know:

PPF is part of your repair costs. When your vehicle is repaired through an insurance claim, any area previously protected by PPF that is affected by the damage can be rewrapped as part of the covered repairs.

No extra steps. In most cases, reapplication of PPF is included in the body shop’s repair estimate—just make sure to let them know your vehicle had film applied.

Preserve your protection. PPF helps maintain your vehicle’s finish and resale value. Don’t miss out on replacing it after repairs.

Tip: Always inform your insurance adjuster and body shop that your vehicle has Paint Protection Film so they can include it in the claim from the start.

Paint protection film is a physical barrier that absorbs impact from rock chips, scratches, and road debris. It is the only product that can prevent physical damage to your paint. Ceramic coating is a chemical bond that creates a hydrophobic, UV-resistant layer for easier cleaning and enhanced gloss — but it does not stop rock chips. Many customers do both: PPF on high-impact areas and ceramic coating over the entire vehicle.

Currently, all installations are performed at our shop at 6524 Michael Talty Ave Building 3, Terrell, TX 75160. This allows us to control the environment and ensure a flawless finish on every vehicle.

For the first 7 days after installation, avoid washing your vehicle, parking under trees, or exposing it to rain. After curing, wash by hand with a pH-neutral car shampoo. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes. We'll walk you through everything at pickup.
