Texas Legal Tint Limits

We always install within Texas legal requirements. Here's what the law requires — we'll walk you through the right shade for your vehicle before any film goes on.

WINDSHIELD — Non-reflective tint allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line (top ~6" visor strip only)

FRONT SIDE WINDOWS — Must allow more than 25% of light in. 20% and darker is not legal on front doors.

BACK SIDE WINDOWS — Any tint shade allowed on rear side windows.

REAR WINDOW — Any shade allowed as long as the vehicle has dual side mirrors.

REFLECTIVITY — Front and rear side windows cannot be more than 25% reflective.

Not sure what's legal for your vehicle? Call or text us at 469-602-9563 before you book. We do not install tint that violates Texas state law.

Window Tint FAQ

How long does automotive window tint take?

Most vehicles are done in 2–4 hours. Larger vehicles like trucks and SUVs may take a bit longer. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when you call.

What's the cure time after installation?

Plan on keeping your windows up for at least 48–72 hours after install. The film needs time to fully cure and bond to the glass — rolling windows down too soon can cause edge lift.

Is ceramic tint really worth the extra cost?

If you drive in Texas summers, yes — without question. Standard film reduces heat. Ceramic film nearly eliminates it. The difference in cabin temperature is significant, and your A/C doesn't have to work as hard. It also won't fade or turn purple over time like cheaper films.

Can I tint my front windows darker than 25% in Texas?

No. Texas law requires front side windows to allow more than 25% visible light transmission. We'll make sure your install is fully legal — we don't do illegal installs.

How do I get a quote for commercial or residential film?

Call or text us at 469-602-9563. We'll set up a site visit, take measurements, and put together an accurate quote — no obligation, and we work around your schedule.

Do you serve areas outside of Terrell?

Yes — we serve the full DFW area including Forney, Rockwall, Kaufman, Mesquite, Garland, and beyond. Call us and we'll work it out.
